In 1994 a group of people from churches in Cambuslang and Rutherglen formed the Reachout Trust,
to reach out to local children and young people with the good news of Jesus Christ. The Trust would employ
a youth worker who would both support the work that churches were doing with young people and also go
into local schools to reach out to those with no church connections.
