 Glasgow Green ......the Sonnie Pon'  opened on Sat. 1st July 1916

The sonnie pon' was our 'wee bit of the beach' on Glasgow Green and many a happy hour was spent there.
 
Glesga weans having a rerr terr at the sonnie pon' ....Greenhead Street tenements in the background.
The industrial side of Bridgeton can be seen in this photograph, look at the number of chimneys.....

.Greenhead Street tenements can be seen through the trees. 
Sadly the weans and the sand are but a distant memory


The white building top left of the picture is the McPhail building which has been renovated into flats.
