  Railway Stations....
     Glasgow Green Railway Station
Site of the old Glasgow Green railway station, Binnie Place
This station was originally owned by The Caledonian Railway Company and closed in the early 1950's. The actual station was demolished under GEAR (Glasgow Eastern Area Redevelopment) but the facade was left in position as a grade A listed building. Although the station never reopened the actual line was re established in the mid sixties for trains from Maryhill to Rutherglen and beyond.

To give you an idea where this old station is I took this photograph, and
quite clearly you can see Templeton's building on Glasgow Green
