Extract from messageboard, Bob Hay, Augusta Australia, April 2005
Great photos of Turreen Street School webmaister. What well constructed old buildings.
That was our BB (Glasgow 29th) meeting place on a Friday night. There were two logistical problems associated with it as I lived in Silvergrove Street.
1)Trying to hear as much of Dick Barton Special Agent on the wireless before running away up to Tureen Street
2)Trying to get back to Brigton with my pipe band drum still in one piece after running the gauntlet of the neds on the Gallowgate.

Tureen Street School photograph taken in Millroad Street opposite junction of Tureen Street - looking north.
The sign on the building says ' Calton Child Care project first left' directing you to Elcho Street
Notice the nice new houses now in Tureen Street.

.

A lifetime honour and timeless photograph on the web
for family and friends to enjoy
