........ thanks for the photos I have never seen inside this school although I used to play as a kid in the grounds or celtic park grounds. Both my sisters went to London Rd school but we had moved away from Brigton by the time I started school. I think they might have been there when Huddy was there our surname was McTear

Nov.2007  GlescaPal Ronnie, ( Ronnie McPhee ) London
........ Isn't it interesting that my wee wife Jessie went tae London Road School from 1955 till 1958, and yet cannie remember one single thing aboot the building - she said she 'hated it'. She does though remember Miss Budge (and not as suggested Miss Budgie ;D). She also remembers the Janny (cannie remember his name) but she is aware that he and his wife had triplets, two lassie's and a boy, who will noo be in their sixties. Whit became of them eh!
Names she remembers are Jennifer McKerral, Margaret McGeechie, Margaret Gould, Edward Walton, Hugh McDonald, Alec McPhee, Rose McConnell (who had a brother James). She cannie remember anyone else.
Jessie tells me that on the schools fiftieth anniversary there were pictures of every class in the the Evening Citizen, and Jessie said how she was wearing a durty auld frock....poor wee soul.
