ROME: Our flights and accomodation were superbly organised by our RWM.
We were delighted to travel to Rome from Scotland to attend the meeting and it was interesting to see Lodge No.237 wear the MacBride tartan, wear their apron as per the Scottish tradition and enter the Lodge to the sound of Scottish bagpipes playing 'Scotland the Brave”.
Our Scottish deputation of 18 including 4 Reigning masters was headed by Burnside's RWM Keith Walton PM and we were warmly welcomed into the temple to the stirring sounds of bagpipes.

Rome May2018
Grand Lodge of Scotland was represented by our own Bro.Jim Turnbull PM, Lodge Burnside  and Bro.John McLeish PM, Lodge Dalhousie. The Italian Provincial Grand Master was also in attendance.  The Lodge conferred an entered apprentice degree in Italian on a new candidate with one or two moments explained in English.

The special meeting was held in the grounds of the Villa Massenzio and the ancient grotto of Domus San Sebastiáno from time of Caesar, was expertly turned into an atmospheric Lodge temple, it was a real wow factor!
