| Robert,
known as Bob, was a stalwart of our lodge and
a great character.
Bob, and his wife Millie, lived in Baltic Street, Bridgeton where they owned a grocers shop, they were well kent and very well liked in the area. On retirement they moved to Toryglen, sadly when he died, Millie passed away a few weeks later. (His PM's jewel was never recovered or returned to the Lodge) |

| Lodge Burnside celebrated
its Jubilee year in 1978, the B/W photo below was
taken in Oct/Nov 1978 at our 50th Anniversary
Jubilee Dance in the Burnside Hotel. The
RWM of Lodge Burnside was Tommy Bell. The RWMs and wives of our local lodges were invited along as special guests. RWM of Lodge Rutherglen R.A. 116 was Lawson Purdie ,he was unable to attend as it was their meeting night and his place was taken by Dixon Drye PM and his wife. Lodge The St. John Operative 347 were represented by their RWM Donald Speirs and his wife Lodge Kirkhill 1230 were represented by their RWM David Dorman and his wife. Also there as a special guest was the Depute PGM of Renfrewshire East, Bro. Alex Hutton and his wife |
