John Caldwell & Mary Thomson

GlescaPal JohnC (John Caldwell) married his sweetheart Mary Thomson then decided to take the 'ten quid' Australia ticket and they have never looked back. They love Glesca but are very happy in Australia.

The wedding of John West & Martha Kane

at Bridgeton & Newhall Parish Church, Dale Street in 1955
Flower girl is Martha's sister Naomi and her bridesmaid is her sister Marion.
Wedding party standing at the front entrance to the church.

Jan.2008 photo sent to me from the brother of the bride, George Kane, Airdrie, Scotland

The wedding of Peter MacGregor & Margaret at Bridgeton Parish Church, Dale Street 15 May 1976

Lovely photo of the Bride and Groom signing the Wedding Register in the vestry with Rev.John Lang.

Then the proud walk down the aisle.
I am delighted to get these photos from GlescaPal Peter, whom I went to school with.
Nice to get a photo of the inside of the church, the stained glass windows
are now housed in the Peoples Palace
.......the church name changed over the years, started of as Bridgeton Parish Church, then became Bridgeton & Newhall, then merged with London Road St Clements, then it was decided that the full name was to much and reverted back to Bridgeton Parish Church.
