Aug.2005, e-mail, Colin Goodall, Glasgow, Scotland .. BB officer 94th Glasgow (1st Shettleston)
Dear Sir,I am writing to you regarding the photo on your site of the 1st Shettleston Company, The Boys' Brigade, 1911.
The Company still exists,
and recently marked its 110th year of formation.
I am a serving Officer in the 94th Glasgow (1st Shettleston).
One of our Boy's parents found your website and passed it on to me.
The original of this photograph (at least, I think it's the original) is hanging on the wall of our Company office at Shettleston Old Parish Church, 111 Killin Street, Glasgow. The building behind the group in the picture appears to be the front door of the church.
I was very interested to find your site, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that the 941S had made it onto the internet. On behalf of our Boys and Staff, I would like to convey our appreciation of your work in creating and maintaining a website of such historical interest to the BB.
Regards, Colin Goodall Adjutant, 941S
Webmaister : Lt.Goodall absolutely delighted as an ex-BB officer & boy to receive your e-mail and kind comments. Its a real pleasure for me to do this work and its nice to know that my efforts are appreciated. The social history of Glasgow is rich with stories and photographs and the BB plays a big part in that story. Founded in Glasgow and helped shape my life and the life of thousands of men & boys.

Anyone have any information about this photo?
